The Southern California Chapter of SFPE invites you to a special guided tour of Sprinkler Fitters U.A. Local 709 — a state-of-the-art training compound and the only facility of its kind in the United States! This high-tech environment features working systems, full-scale labs, and live demonstration spaces.
Attendees will rotate through three technical stations led by subject matter experts from Local 709. This is a unique opportunity to observe system behavior up close and gain insight into field applications of the fire protection systems you design, approve, or inspect.

Technical Sessions:
Session 1: Fire Pump Testing & Equipment Overview
Learn about fire pump configurations, witness a live pump test, and observe flow readings in real time.
Session 2: Exterior Training Structure & Roof Flow Testing
Tour the exterior structure and observe live standpipe flow testing, with insights into system function, water delivery, and testing procedures
Session 3: Sprinkler Valve & Flow Lab Demonstration
Explore one of the most comprehensive valve room setups in Southern California. Attendees will see a variety of valve types, riser assemblies, and functional flow lab setups designed to simulate a range of system conditions.
